Energy Code Compliance & Certification in the Great State of Texas
We help our clients design and build energy efficient, comfortable, and durable homes and buildings that meet or exceed current energy codes. We serve the Greater San Antonio Metro Area and the Texas Hill Country, including:
Who We Serve
Residential Home Builders
Building homes that comply with the International Residential Code is a hallmark of a quality home builder. As an integral part of the Residential Code, the Energy Code ensures that homes achieve energy efficiency benchmarks that reduce operating cost over the life of the home.
We work with the builder every step of the way by providing energy efficiency consulting, modeling, projected energy code compliance documentation, field inspections and consults, performance testing, and final code compliance documents.
Architects and Home Designers
We work with Architects and Home Designers to ensure their designs meet the client's specifications while achieving energy efficiency, comfort, and durability. This is the most effective collaboration in the energy efficiency and code compliance process, enabling the designer to provide the builder a more complete plan for bid and build.
Commercial Builders
We work with Commercial Builders to ensure their builds meet the client's specifications while achieving energy efficiency, comfort, and durability. Using the standard COMCheck software to model the build, we work with the builder, the building designer, and certain other trades to achieve the energy efficiency and code compliance required by the State of Texas and most municipalities.
Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Contractors
We work with HVAC Contractors to provide accurate Room-by-Room Association of Air Conditioning Contractors (ACCA) Manual J Heating and Cooling Load Calculations to ensure their system designs meet the client's specifications while achieving energy efficiency, comfort, and durability. This is a vital collaboration in ensuring comfort for the client and minimizing call back issues for both the builder and HVAC contractor.
